Iryna Terekh prezentuje Flamingo - broń, z którą Ukraina wiąże wielkie nadzieje

“Pure anger is our fuel” – Iryna Terekh on the motivation and development of the Ukrainian company - Fire Point

During the conference on the third day of the 33rd MSPO, the most sought-after product —a large, pink rocket, considered a modern-day Ukrainian "Wunderwaffe" — was presented. The Flamingo, as the FP-5 long-range missile was nicknamed, is difficult to detect by radar with a range of up to 3,000 km and a payload of 1,150 kg. With such mass, it hits targets with a precision of 14 meters

The company produces combat-proven FP-1 and FP-2 drones on the Ukrainian front, which are very cost-effective considering the price in relation to the potential damage. The production cost of one FP-1 drone is PLN 55,000. USD and the damage inflicted on the enemy by such a unit reaches USD 30 million.

"Any damaged equipment can be replaced with new one, but the human losses cannot be repaired, which is why we ensure the safety of the 'flamingos' logistics," said Iryna Terekh, director of Fire Point, at the meeting.

The mobile launcher is designed to carry pink missiles and to maintain its civilian appearance, along with its payload, rather than resembling typical military vehicles usually painted green and related camouflage colours. The Fire Point's priorities are clear - low production costs and mass production.

The company was founded by people with no connection to the defence industry in a spontaneous reflex driven by pure anger at their neighbour, who invaded Ukraine.

The company, which employed 18 people in 2022, has grown to 2,200 employees as of August 2025. It also strives to produce all parts and components itself or outsource them to Ukrainian contractors.  This situation has recently changed, and the rocket fuel will be made in the Kingdom of Denmark, which the company decided to recognise for the generous help this country has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
