Third day of MSPO 2025. Even more conferences, contracts and cooperation agreements
“Cooperation between Polish foundries and the defense industry”
The Polish Foundrymen's Technical Association, in cooperation with the Foundry Chamber of Commerce, organised a conference that brought together representatives of domestic foundries and Polish Armaments Group SA, as well as the companies Rosomak SA, Zakłady Metalowe "Dezamet" SA and Huta Stalowa Wola SA.
The conference was opened by Andrzej Ryba (Foundry Chamber of Commerce) and Prof. Dr. hab. Engineer Rafał Dańko (STOP). In the next part, they performed representatives of PGZ SA. The event was the forum for the exchange of experiences and expectations between the foundry industry and the defence sector. Participants emphasised the need to build lasting business relationships, utilise domestic production potential, and increase the share of Polish foundries in the defence supply chain.
Modernisation of radars and reinforcement of supplies for the Polish Army
On the third day of MSPO, the Polish Armaments Group signed several key agreements, including those regarding the modernisation of NUR-12 radar stations and the replenishment of explosives stocks. Additionally, agreements were signed with military institutions for the development of training facilities and business continuity, as well as agreements on maritime projects under the Digital Baltic initiative.
Artificial intelligence in the service of defence
At the "AI and Defence" conference, which the IDEAS Research Institute organised on the third day of MSPO 2025, scientists presented directions of research on the use of artificial intelligence in the military. The discussions focused on algorithms supporting commanders in making decisions on the battlefield, data protection and privacy, as well as the growing role of AI in cybersecurity.
IDEAS Research Institute, whose aim is to counteract the outflow of scientific potential from the country and to implement research results in public administration and defence, is directed by Prof. Piotr Sankowski, and it employs over 90 people – including teams specialising in cryptography, robotics, cybersecurity and natural language analysis.
The Armaments Agency signed contracts at MSPO.
On the 3rd day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Targi Kielce, the Armaments Agency finalised four contracts strengthening the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces. The contracts include the supply of MPPZM anti-ship mines, MU-90 PTD training torpedoes, specialised operational containers for F-35 aircraft and several hundred GBU-39B Small Diameter Bombs.
The economic and image-related dimensions of the transaction were explicitly emphasised in Kielce: public funds should be spent transparently – preferably in the eyes of the public, the media, and the industry. - MSPO created a natural stage for this, showing the negotiation and logistical efforts on both sides of the table and the continuity of the modernisation process - emphasised Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce.
General Artur Kuptel, head of the Armaments Agency, recapitulated on the contracts signed at Targi Kielce - Do you think this is the end? No. Next year, I promise there will be at least that many, and possibly even more, similar contracts.
