Third day - PGZ contracts at MSPO. Modernisation of radars and reinforcement of supplies for the Polish Army
Two PGZ contracts with the Armaments Agency
Polish Armaments Group concluded two agreements with the Armaments Agency. The first concerns the modernisation of NUR-12 radar stations at PIT-RADWAR, the second — replenishment of TNT and explosives stocks at the Nitrochem Chemical Plant. During the ceremony, the president of PIT-RADWAR, the president of Nitrochem and the head of the Armaments Agency, General Artur Kuptel, were present.
The agreement with Nitrochem concerns the replenishment of TNT charges and explosives used by engineering troops. - We meet the needs of the Polish Army at a very high level while maintaining the highest standards - emphasised Arkadiusz Miszuk, president of Nitrochem.
The contract combines replacement and operational aspects – it secures the current needs of the engineering troops, while at the same time strengthening supplies for times of increased intensity of operations. The agreement is part of a broader policy of maintaining national self-sufficiency in the explosives segment within PGZ.
The modernisation contract provides for the delivery of six sets of NUR-12M stations, upgraded to the NUR-12MP version, and an option for three additional sets, also to the NUR-12MP standard. "We want to utilise the technology of the state-of-the-art Warta long-range radar to modernise the NUR-12 stations," said Marek Borejko, President of PIT-RADWAR. He emphasised that the transition from tube transmitters to fully solid-state technology opens up new possibilities and functions for the system.
General Artur Kuptel emphasised the operational effect of modernisation. - Six to start with, three more in the future, but the detection capability will be exorbitantly higher - he said, pointing out that the eyes and ears of the Polish Army will gain significantly greater reconnaissance capabilities. - This is another crucial step forward for Polish radiolocation - said the president of PIT-RADWAR, thanking the Armament Agency for the efficient preparation of the contract.
Training facilities for the Polish Armed Forces
The PIT-RADWAR SA was involved in two more contracts concluded at the PGZ stand on Thursday, September 4. PIT-RADWAR SA and the Military University of Technology signed a letter of intent regarding the joint creation of training facilities for the Polish Armed Forces, specifically for the supply of passive location radars. PIT-RADWAR SA and Military Electronic Works Zielonka signed a letter of intent on cooperation in the field of the Business Continuity Plan.
"Maritime Day" on the PGZ expo stage
The third day of PGZ at the MSPO trade fair also saw agreements regarding the DIGITAL BALTIC project, an initiative combining technologies, services and communities for the security of the Baltic Sea. Polish Armaments Group signed a contract with Ship Technology Centre. The cooperation will take place in the field of industrial and implementation research covering hydromechanics, aerodynamics, acoustics, structural dynamics and the design of research equipment. The state-owned OBR CTM company signed an agreement with a private company , ICEYE, on the integration of SAR satellite data with modern analytical tools as part of the Digital Baltic project.
A meeting with journalists was also devoted to projects related to the Polish Navy.
