Proud Veteran
Ever since created, the Association has prospered to establish contacts with people and strike up cooperation with various types of institutions and companies willing to support activities designed to help injured veterans and families of the fallen. Thanks to the financial and substantive support received, the organisation conducts rehabilitation sessions, therapeutic workshops, and programs each year aimed at the professional retraining of soldiers. The forms of support offered by the Association also include sports promotion and the provision of assistance to the families of those affected.
In 2013, the Association of Wounded and Injured in Missions Abroad, in order to honour the institutions and companies that closely cooperate with it, established the "Proud Veteran" statuette, symbolising a soldier who, despite his injuries, is proud of his service.
This year the award was received by Mr. Robert Orzyłowski – Director of Lockheed Martin Global for Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The award was presented by Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence, Mr. Stanisław Wziątek, and the President of the Association, Mr. Tomasz Kloc.
The award ceremony witnessed many important messages regarding the importance of supporting the veterans' community and their families. This year's laureate of the award declared his continued cooperation with the Association for the Assistance of Soldiers Injured in Missions.
