The Armaments Agency signed four contracts at MSPO

04 September 2025
On the 3rd day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Targi Kielce, the Armaments Agency finalised four contracts strengthening the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces. The contracts include the supply of MPPZM anti-ship mines, MU-90 PTD training torpedoes, specialised operational containers for F-35 aircraft and several hundred GBU-39B Small Diameter Bombs

The first contract concerns MPPZM anti-ship mines equipped with a contact fuse. The equipment, designed to combat combat vehicles and means of transport in conditions where the use of other mines is difficult, is intended to supplement military engineering stocks. Contract value: ca. 41 M PLN

The second contract covers five MU-90 PTD training torpedoes along with a logistics package that will be used to train Navy crews – including those of the frigates “Gen. K. Pulaski" and "Gen.  T. Kościuszko” and SH-2G and AW-101 helicopters. And in the future, also to prepare crews for new ships. The value of the agreement was estimated at PLN 39 million.

The Agency concluded the third agreement with the Dutch manufacturer of container systems, "Advanced Systems" – for two sets of SAF containers for planning and securing F-35 operations from road sections of airports. The contract, worth approximately PLN 66 million, provides for deliveries by the end of 2028, which will directly translate into the mobility and decentralisation of aviation basing.

The fourth contract concerns the supply of several hundred GBU-39B SDB aerial bombs for the F-35, with a value of approximately USD 120 million, with deliveries expected by 2028. The armament will increase the ability to precisely engage targets with a limited signature, which is consistent with the doctrine of modern multi-role aviation.

The economic and image-related dimensions of the transaction were explicitly emphasised in Kielce: public funds should be spent transparently – preferably in the eyes of the public, the media, and the industry.
- MSPO created a natural stage for this, showing the negotiation and logistical efforts on both sides of the table and the continuity of the modernisation process - emphasised Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce.

General  Artur Kuptel, head of the Armaments Agency, recapitulated on the contracts signed at Targi Kielce - Do you think this is the end? No.  Next year, I promise there will be at least that many, and possibly even more, similar contracts.
