Innovations, trends, and new protein sources – experts gather at Targi Kielce to discuss the future of the Pet Food industry. Admission - free, open to the public

Production automation, process optimisation, postbiotics in diet therapy and insects as an alternative source of protein – speakers will discuss these and many other topics during the Pet Food Congress. The event, combined with the \Meat Industry Round Table and Modern Trade, will take place on 22 and 23 October 2025 in Kielce, as part of the Private Label Expo. Admission for traders is free

The Pet Food Congress is a new event on the Polish market, responding to the dynamic development of the pet food and products sector. The Congress will be a meeting place for producers, suppliers of raw materials and technologies, retail chains, distributors and experts in nutrition, law and marketing. Participants will gain access to knowledge, current trends, innovative solutions and business contacts that can translate into new contracts and company development.  One of the essential elements of the event is the competition Pet Choice Award 2025, the aim of which is to select the most interesting and innovative products in the pet food category. Winners will receive prestigious awards that can significantly increase their brand recognition as the competition is also an opportunity to promote and build market position among key players in the sector. Applications for the competition can be sent by 30 September 2025.

 Speakers with the latest knowledge about the pet products industry in Kielce 

The congress features lectures and discussions led by outstanding experts including  Jakub Dubniak With YouGov, who will discuss the dog and cat food market in Poland from the buyers' perspective. Doctor Engineer  Martyna Wilk who will present two topics:  "Postbiotics as an element of diet therapy: a breakthrough in animal nutrition" and "Probiotics, prebiotics and postbiotics in the nutrition of dogs and cats - from the microbiome to the max effect".  Piotr Halemba from Handtmann Poland will discuss Handtmann Innovations – intelligent solutions that take into account the challenges of modern Pet Food production. Michał Danyluk and Luke the Revealed from WEINDICH food processing industry & gastronomy centre will present ways to optimise production and packaging in the Pet Food industry. Paul Ulichnowski from Trasko Automation will speak on  "Automation of the production line in the Pet Food industry", and Adam Kowalczyk from #Hermipro will focus on insects as alternative protein sources in the nutrition of dogs with food allergies. Grzegorz Mech from  YouGov will address the topic for the entire meat industry, and it will be: "Private labels in the meat and cold cuts category in YouGov Shopper Intelligence data."  

Targi Kielce  for the development of the meat industry - two dedicated events

The combination of discussions for the meat and pet food sectors implements the idea of the premier combination of the Round Table of the Meat Industry and Modern Trade and the Pet Food 2025 Congress.  A unique space is being created for producers of both related industries as the place where knowledge meets practice, and conversations lead to real contracts and long-term collaboration. The organiser invites representatives of the meat processing industry, retail chains, and the pet food sector to participate in the Congress and the Round Table discussions. Each participant will find answers to pressing challenges.  Admission for trade representatives is free. 

An essential part of the events for the meat industry is the Taste of Quality competition, intending to reward unique and innovative products. The gala awarding ceremony with this project's winners presentation and the Pet Choice Award presentation, will take place at Targi Kielce on October 22.
