PAIH Polish Investment and Trade Agency as a bridge to foreign markets for Polish companies - lecture during the Private Label Expo

23 October 2025
- When supporting companies in their operations on foreign markets, we focus on three areas - i.e., exports, investments, advisory support, but also the promotion of Poland's economic brand and Polish producer brands, said Ewa Kapel-Śniowska from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency during the Future Private Labels Summit.

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency, as part of the Polish Development Fund Group, has been supporting Polish companies in their international expansion and promotion of the domestic economy worldwide for years.  As part of these activities, the institution provides patronage to events that foster global cooperation – this year, it granted honorary patronage to the Private Label Expo.

The Future Private Labels Summit featured Ewa Kapel-Śniowska, head of the PAIH Regional Trade Office in Kielce, presenting the main areas of assistance available to Polish companies.

 – We support Polish entrepreneurs – producers and service providers – who want to enter foreign markets.  We help from the ground up, not only with companies already present abroad, but also with those just planning to enter new markets.  We provide information and advice and refer companies to training courses so they can prepare properly and successfully launch their operations abroad, explained Ewa Kapel-Śniowska.

An example of a company that has been cooperating with the agency for years is Inglot, which currently operates in 80 foreign markets, including China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Morocco, and Turkey.

And this is what it looks like in action?   PAIH Polish Investment and Trade Agency specialists prepare a complete set of information about the market in which a given company is interested – from entry models, through requirements for products or services, to issues related to business contacts.  Lists of potential business partners and recommendations for contractor verification are also prepared.

Another essential element of the agency's activities is assistance in developing strategies for entering new markets.

 – To operate effectively abroad, you need to know the given market well – its specifics, mechanisms of operation and participants. That is why we organise national stands at international trade fairs and trade missions. Company representatives participate in these events with our support – they are provided with meetings, on-site expert support, and assistance in establishing business contacts, noted Ewa Kapel-Śniowska.   – The last but equally important area is knowledge.

As part of its educational activities, PAIH conducts stationary training within the Business Academy, as well as numerous webinars and podcasts available on the website paih.gov.pl. These materials concern the functioning of particular markets, the specific nature of industries and current trends.

 – Another source of knowledge is our portal trade.gov.pl.  This is an absolute mine of information for companies.  Here you will find reports on various industries and markets. You are most welcome to become familiar with our offer.   Companies already operating abroad can post their business cards on the website free of charge, which are then promoted by experts from our agency, Ewa Kapel-Śniowska added.

Currently, PAIH, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, is implementing two EU projects aimed at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.  These are Polish Technology Bridges – covering consulting and financing for foreign expansion, and Brand Hub – offering participation in selected trade fair events and economic missions.
