The PGZ Foundation and the Veterans' Centre are strengthening their cooperation for the benefit of Veterans

02 September 2025
On 2 September, this year's XXXIII International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce witnessed the Polish Armaments Group Foundation and the Veteran of Operations Beyond State Borders Centre concluding a cooperation agreement. This is another step towards intensifying activities for the Veterans community and promoting patriotic and pro-defence values

The agreement is an expression of shared concern for respect and support for soldiers who participated in missions abroad, as well as their families and both institutions declared their cooperation in popularising knowledge about the participation of the Polish Army in international operations, building a positive image of the Polish Armed Forces and supporting social, educational and sports initiatives dedicated to Veterans.

– Veterans, through their service, have written the most essential chapters in the contemporary history of the Polish army. In accordance with the Foundation's motto, it is our duty. "To Those Who Serve the Homeland", - not only to remember their sacrifice, but also to actively support them in their daily lives. This is an expression of our gratitude and respect for the Veterans, even after their mission is complete, emphasises the president of the PGZ Foundation, Justyna Wawrzyńska-Bąk.

The PGZ Foundation plans to organise its projects involving Veterans and to continue supporting the Veterans' Centre's initiatives commemorating fallen soldiers and activating Veterans, to name a few of its initiatives. The Foundation will also continue to provide individual support to the Polish National Sports Team athletes in the Invictus Games and promote joint activities with the Veteran Centre. The Veteran's Centre, in turn, declared its commitment to organising social, sports and development projects, providing substantive support for the Foundation's initiatives and promoting joint events.

– The agreement with the PGZ Foundation is an opportunity for us to implement further valuable projects that will provide real support to the Veterans community.  Together we can do more – emphasises Lt. Col. Dr. Katarzyna Rzadkowska, Director of the Veterans Centre.

The agreement opens a new chapter in the cooperation between both institutions, which will result in specific actions for the Veterans community and contribute to further strengthening the ethos of service to the Homeland.
