Spanish S-80 submarines at MSPO 2025. Navantia, with an offer as part of the Orka program

This year's International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce welcomes Navantia, a Spanish shipbuilding company and one of the leading suppliers of maritime technology in Europe. The company will present the S-80 Plus new-generation submarine project, which is proposed to Poland as part of the Orka program
The S-80 ships are ocean-going vessels with a displacement of over 3,000 tons and a length of 81 meters, capable of operating in a full spectrum of tasks – from defensive and reconnaissance operations to special missions. The design uses air-independent propulsion (AIP), which significantly extends the submerged time and increases stealth.
Navantia emphasises that if the Spanish offer is selected, extensive involvement of the Polish shipbuilding industry and the transfer of key technologies are possible. The Spanish also declare their readiness to cooperate with the Polish Armaments Group and other entities in the domestic defence sector.
Navantia's presence at MSPO 2025 will provide an opportunity to speak directly with the manufacturer's representatives and become familiar with one of the most modern submarine designs currently available on the market.
