Private label brands of retail chains are becoming one of the main drivers of the transformation of the retail market in Poland. Experts will discuss how the role of private label is changing in chain strategies, what trends shape FMCG and how this segment influences the entire economy on 22 and 23 October in Targi Kielce during the Future Private Labels Summit. The Congress accompanies the Private Label Expo

The editorial team of Wiadomości Handlowe is responsible for the content and co-creates the program of panels and debates. Michał Maksymiec, retail vertical client director at YouGov, will present the strategies of market leaders – Biedronka, Lidl and Dino – in the development of private label.  The debate "Private brands – the fuel of the future of retail" will be attended by, among others: Tomasz Walczak - Marketing Director at IntermarchéRadosław Dac - Product Director at Auchan Retail Poland, and Sławomir Kołodziej - director of the non-food purchasing department at Kaufland. The discussion will cover the impact of global trade tensions, new consumer needs and the role of private labels as a driver of innovation in trade.

Quality standards and practices of Polish chains

Marek March, president Ewa-Bis, will discuss the importance of IFS standards. In 1:1 conversations, knowledge will be shared by, among others, Jarosław Brudnicki - commercial director and member of the management board of Polomarket and Patrick Impert - head of the private label department of Lewiatan Holding. They will present a practical approach to the development of private labels in Polish chains.  The next debate with the participation of Edyta Dembińska - Private Label Manager at SPARJarosław Tabienka - member of the management board of Delko and Paweł Górecki – vice-president of the management board of Terravita.

Private labels in the beauty and household chemicals sector

The following lectures at the congress will concern foreign markets and the beauty and household chemicals categories. Speakers’ list will include, among others: Ewa Kapel-Śniowska - expert Polish Investment and Trade AgencyAgnieszka Skonieczna - retail & pharma business unit director w PMRAdriana Pierzchała - Senior Product Manager Laboratories GeminiTomasz Pietrzak - member of the board ECOWIPES. They will discuss the strategies of drugstore chains and consumer expectations towards new generation private labels.

 – Future Private Labels Summit is an event for everyone operating in the retail market – from buyers and chain managers, through producers and suppliers of private label products, to experts in quality, marketing and innovation. Practitioners, analysts, and leaders meet in one place to exchange experiences and build business relationships, emphasises Małgorzata Ozdoba, manager of the Future Private Labels trade fair at Targi Kielce. – This is where knowledge meets the real market, because the congress takes place simultaneously with the Private Label Expo.

Trade meetings and international exhibitors at Targi Kielce

The Future Private Labels Expo will feature exhibitors from Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, and Turkey, offering a full range of products for the private label sector – from food and beverages, through cosmetics, household chemicals, to pet products.

The event will attract buyers from the largest chains:  Eurocash, Lewiatan, Orzech, Społem, Bricomarche, Amic, Auchan, Kaufland, Polomarket, SPAR, Leclerc, Topaz, Stokrotka, Carrefour, and Dealz. Representatives of 13 retail chains will arrive from Turkey, including Onur Perakende ve Toptan Gıda, which serves over 70 million customers annually. Delegations from Uzbekistan will include Unicode, Grand Universal Service, Havvo Group, and Wise Way.
