About the event
HEAT TREATMENT 2026 goes down in hostory. Precision, efficiency and new heat treatment technologies presented at Expo Kielce
Heat treatment - increasing scrutiny
HEAT TREATMENT is a specialized part of Industrial Autumn, aimed at companies using thermal and thermochemical processes. This year's exhibition included, among others, industrial furnaces, melting and annealing equipment, alloy modification technologies, components and consumables, and control and measurement equipment and sensors.
The trade fair clearly showed that accuracy, repeatability and the ability to continuously control parameters are becoming increasingly important in heat treatment. It is the stability of the process that determines the material properties, the quality of the finished product, and, at the same time, energy consumption and the scale of potential production losses.
One Degree Makes a Difference
One of the key topics in this year's edition was precise temperature measurement in high-temperature processes. At the expert presentations, speakers explored solutions to improve measurement accuracy and the development of thermocouples for use in particularly demanding conditions.
The presentation about the project developed by Guenther Polska in cooperation with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology generated a great interest: its goal is to develop high-quality thermocouples and methods for their calibration. The project combines, among other things, materials research, simulations, machine learning and the concept of a digital twin of a laboratory.
The slogan of one of the presentations – “±1°C that changes everything” – well reflected the importance of precision in heat treatment processes; at temperatures exceeding 1000°C, even small deviations can have a significant impact on the process and the parameters of the final product.
Technology responds to energy costs
Energy efficiency was also visible at the exhibitors' stands. Modern furnace designs, more accurate temperature control, automation and better use of data are designed to help companies run processes using less energy and materials.
HEAT TREATMENT thus demonstrated a broader shift in the industry: the furnace is no longer just a heating device but an element of an increasingly automated and monitored technological process. The three days expo showed that the development of heat treatment is heading towards greater precision, automation, digital supervision and energy efficiency. Data plays an increasingly important role here – allowing not only to check the effect of the process, but also to control it on an ongoing basis and react before losses occur.
