National Foundry Day 2025 goes down in history. International milieu talks on the future of foundry, with participation from Targi Kielce and the METAL Expo
The conference was opened with a lecture on the current state of the global foundry industry, presented by José Javier González Estévez, Secretary General of the World Foundry Organisation (WFO), i.e. the World Foundry Organisation. Participants also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with an analysis of the Turkish foundry sector, presented by the president of TÜDÖKSAD – Turkish Foundry Manufacturers Association. These presentations became the starting point for a broad discussion on global trends, technological challenges and directions of industry development.
The National Foundry Day attracted a large group of international guests and experts, representing both industry organisations and the media, as well as technology companies related to the foundry industry. The participants' list included representatives of the World Foundry Organisation, Foundry Planet, and Foundry Trade Journal, as well as organisations and companies from Central and Western Europe, including Targi Kielce. These meetings created an excellent space to exchange experiences, establish new relationships, and discuss the future of the sector.
The presence of Targi Kielce and METAL at the event highlighted their commitment to industry development and to building international relationships within the foundry community. The National Foundryman's Day also became an opportunity to invite participants to Kielce for the next International Fair of Technologies for Foundry METAL, which will take place on 22–24 September 2026, together with the Heat Treatment and Control-Tech Shows.
The Krakow meeting confirmed that the National Foundry Workers' Day remains an essential platform for dialogue, inspiration and cooperation for the entire community, and that the METAL Fair consistently supports initiatives that strengthen the foundry industry’s position in Poland and worldwide.
