Clean Air in the Production Hall Starts at the Workstation. GPPH Expert on Industrial Filtration and Ventilation at the Industrial Autumn
The presentation, “Industrial Filtration and Ventilation in Practice: Selecting Solutions for a Specific Process and Workstation”, focused on solutions designed to reduce pollutants generated during processes such as welding and grinding. The starting point was an analysis of the entire workstation: people – process – environment. Where exactly are pollutants generated? Are they effectively captured by the extraction system? What happens to them afterward? Answering these questions makes it possible to design an effective filtration and ventilation system.
From a Single Workstation to the Entire Production Hall
Kamil Haracz presented various methods for capturing and filtering pollutants. One of them is IQ Air Flow, an extraction system tailored to the working area, which can be integrated with a welding workstation and a suitably selected filtration unit.
The presentation also featured solutions from the IQ Aero Clean range, designed for different working conditions. These included units for individual workstations, mobile solutions, as well as systems designed for larger spaces and multiple workstations operating simultaneously. GPPH’s range includes units with capacities ranging from 1,200 m³/h for the ECO model, through 5,000 m³/h for SUMMIT, to approximately 15,000 m³/h for the MASTER central unit.
Filtration and Ventilation Tailored to the Process
As emphasised during the meeting, there is no single solution suitable for every plant. Factors such as the number of workstations, work intensity, hall size, type of processes carried out and available installation options all play a role. This is why the system should be selected to match the actual conditions of production.
An example of a solution designed for large spaces is the IQ Aero Clean SUMMIT, which filters the air within the production hall and can be used where conventional ducted systems or workstation extraction are difficult to install. The IQ Aero Clean MASTER, meanwhile, has been designed for intensive operation and the simultaneous handling of multiple workstations.
The GPPH presentation demonstrated that a well-designed welding workstation is about far more than a table and tools. It is a complete system combining ergonomics, process organisation and effective industrial filtration and ventilation, with a direct impact on working conditions in a modern production facility.
