- It's already the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO Kielce has become the capital of Europe's defence industry. For these few days, Poland is at the heart of Europe's security architecture - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during his visit to Targi Kielce on Thursday, 8, September. During his visit to Targi Kielce, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki toured the expo stands at the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition and met with journalists.

- We know that only those who can defend themselves are defended, so today we are preparing the best, most modern weapons for our army - he emphasized. - The best weapons are effective, modern and, if possible, also of Polish origin. We also work with suppliers and allies from several key countries in the world. The United States, Korea, the United Kingdom and France are our leading partners in various activities related to the equipment provisions for the Polish army.

As the Prime Minister of the Polish government said, thanks to the equipment and technology purchased from the United States and South Korea, the potential of the army are elevated. - We are building a strong army, strong enough not to engage in an actual fight. The army in peacetime is supposed to act as a deterrent. We are preparing the strongest possible army to ensure the safety and security of our borders. This is the basic imperative of our activities - he emphasized.

As he emphasized, the vehicles, devices and military equipment presented during the MSPO by companies from our country make it possible to take pride at the Polish defence industry. - The time of security in Europe ended on 24 February with the cruel Russian attack on Ukraine. Today, Polish defence equipment helps to defend the sovereignty of this country. Krab, Piorun, modern Polish rifles help to defend Ukraine's independence, and thus defend the sovereignty of the nations of Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic states, including Poland - he said.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that PLN 138 billion would be allocated to retrofitting the Polish army next year. In the context of protection, he added that Sweden and Finland joining NATO would strengthen the eastern flank of the alliance, which would also increase the security of Poland's borders.

- Safe Poland, safe Poles are the goal of the Government of the Republic of Poland - emphasized Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
