How to be listed as a US military supplier? You will find the answer at MSPO
The training is designed for companies seeking to establish a business in the area of supplying goods and services to US military units. The agenda will cover key issues for effective entry into this market: registration in the SAM.gov system, NCAGE and NAICS codes, types of tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ), as well as a discussion of the most common forms of contracts, including IDIQ framework agreements, implemented, among others, under the WEXMAC program.
Legal and tax issues will also be an essential part of the meeting, including FAR/DFARS, VAT exemptions for military contractors, and documentation and certification requirements. Participants will learn how to read US tender notices, prepare a bid compliant with US regulations, and avoid the most common mistakes made by contractors in the first stage of cooperation.
Experienced experts will chair the training: Ronald Farkas, former U.S. Department of Defence program officer at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw; Anastasiia Vasylenko, director of logistics programs at PLUS Ops, specialising in high-value military contracts; and Ewelina Nimsz-Witosławska, current deputy director of logistics and program manager at WEXMAC.
– Polish companies have enormous potential to become reliable partners of the US Army, however, this cooperation requires knowledge of the system, procedures and documentation language, emphasises Ronald Farkas. – The aim of the training is not only to impart knowledge, but also to equip participants with specific tools that will enable them to start operating in the US federal procurement market.
Cooperation with the US Armed Forces in Poland is a dynamically growing market segment, encompassing logistics supplies, ICT equipment, infrastructure support services, transportation, municipal services, as well as specialised tasks in the areas of cybersecurity and physical protection. Considering the extensive US military presence in Poland, including in Powidz, Poznań, Łask, and Żagań, the contract potential for Polish contractors in the coming years remains significant.
The training will be part of the MSPO accompanying programme and will take place on 3 September - subject to availability, participation is possible after registration.
