Hanwha's proven technologies adapted to Poland’s needs

The South Korean company, Hanwha, again confirms its strong commitment to the Polish defence market. MSPO welcomes the company which presents a broad portfolio of military solutions – proven in practice and adapted to the needs of the Polish Armed Forces

 K2 Black Panther Tanks

The Hanwha expo stand will feature K2GF "Black Panther" tanks in a version adapted to the requirements of the Polish armoured forces. These are modern combat vehicles characterised by high mobility, an advanced fire control system and a high level of protection. In 2025, the fourth batch of these tanks is expected to arrive in Poland, thereby strengthening the Polish Army's defensive capabilities.

K9A1 Thunder and K9PL self-propelled howitzers

Hanwha also continues to deliver K9A1 Thunder 155mm self-propelled howitzers;  so far, Poland has received three batches of this proven artillery system. In parallel, the company is developing the K9PL project, which involves local assembly and technology transfer, thereby strengthening the capabilities of the Polish defence and service industries.

 Chunmoo Missile Systems

The offer of the K239 Chunmoo multiple-rocket missile system will also be revisited during the expo presentation - this equipment complements Poland's rocket artillery capabilities. The system enables firing with ammunition at various ranges, ensuring operational flexibility in modern battlefield conditions.

"Orka" program - KSS-III submarines

Hanwha Ocean will present proposals for the Orka program, including the construction of KSS-III Batch 2 submarines, as well as the possibility of leasing a KSS-I unit for training purposes  - The offer also includes an investment of USD 100 million in the Polish shipbuilding industry and the creation of an  MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul). ceentre.

 Investments and technology transfer

Hanwha Aerospace is actively developing industrial cooperation in Poland  which entails technology transfer, local assembly of artillery systems, supply of components and job creation in the domestic defence industry. The company also declares further investments in the development of technological and training facilities in Poland.
