PV systems in 2020
This was a breakthrough year for the whole business sector - September 2019 saw more than 1 GW of new installed capacity in Poland. 2.2 MW a day were installed throughout September
That this record seems seem hard to break. However October delivered almost 3 MW a day - As of 1 November 2019, the Polish solar farm installed capacity exceeded 1098.978 MW. The future of the market will be discussed within the scope of the 18th Fair of Renewable Sources of Energy held on 26 and 27 February in Kielce exhibition and congress centre.
My Electricity – 2020 call for applications. What is the situation like?
2019 marls the beginning of the "My Electricity" programme with the budget of PLN 1 billion. The programme has become an additional impulse to foster and enhance the solar farms development in Poland. There is an avalanche of applications for the programme. As of 26 November 2019, 7026 applications were approved and 6024 grants were paid out. These installations make it is possible to reduce CO2 emissions by 26,612,490 kg / year.
Amendment to the RES Act
2019 saw the RES Act amendment - according to the new regulations entrepreneurs have been classified ad prosumer group. Entrepreneurs who will generate electricity for their own needs can become prosumers on condition that the electricity generation is not the subject of their prevailing economic activity.
SME sector entrepreneurs are more and more into renewable energy sources because their objective is to reduce energy costs. As many as 20% of them declare that if they had the funds for any pro-ecological investment, they would opt for a PV installation.
Maximum powers and new technologies
Over the past year, there has been a clear tendency to increase the maximum power of modules. Successive generations hit the market every few months, while a few years ago, the market life was about a year. Such a rapid progress reflects of the industry dynamic development - 2019 saw the advent of new modules and interesting technologies which translated into record-breakign efficiency. 460 Wp power modules are already available, these are dedicated to both commercial and home installations.
What will 2020 be like for solar farms?
