– At the end of the entire process of modernising the Armed Forces stands the soldier. We must take care of everything that concerns their individual equipment, the way they conduct combat operations and their safety – stressed Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, during a press briefing at Targi Kielce.

Localising production in Poland, technology transfer, developing maintenance and service capabilities, joint research and development projects, and expansion into third markets were identified as the key areas for further Polish-Korean cooperation during the panel discussion “Poland-Korea Cooperation in the Defence Industry: Opportunities and Challenges”, held at MSPO 2026 at Targi Kielce.

One of the most distinctive systems on display at this year’s International Defence Industry Exhibition has a name to match. The “Monster from Tarnów” – an unmanned aerial vehicle countermeasure system using the 12.7 mm WLKM multi-barrel machine gun – is being presented at Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa’s exhibition at MSPO 2026 in Kielce.

On 8 September, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s export credit agency. The agreement was signed during the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, with Canada serving as the Leading Country at this year’s event.

The significance of the International Defence Industry Exhibition was also highlighted by Deputy Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka.

On Wednesday, 9 September, at 14:45, the National Security Bureau (BBN) will host the presentation of the fourth edition of its publication, the Polish Defence and Security Equipment Catalogue 2026.

Not merely another batch of hardware, but documentation, IP rights, and industrial capabilities that will remain in-country. At the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition, a licensing agreement was concluded between the State Treasury – Armament Agency and Hanwha Aerospace.

One of the most significant premieres of this year's International Defence Industry Exhibition took place on 8 September at Targi Kielce. Polish Armaments Group and Huta Stalowa Wola unveiled a demonstrator of the new Heavy Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The over 40-tonne platform, powered by an engine exceeding 1,000 hp, was engineered primarily to deliver high crew and dismount protection while operating in tandem with main battle tanks.
