More Than PLN 330 Million for Firefighters: Good News Ahead of KIELCE IFRE-EXPO 2027

15 October 2026
More than PLN 330 million is expected to be available under a new programme for the State Fire Service, according to the fire service news portal Strażacki.pl. This is important news not only for firefighters, but also for manufacturers of fire engines, rescue equipment and technologies that support emergency services.

The industry will discuss the needs of fire and rescue units, modern equipment and the future of emergency response at KIELCE IFRE-EXPO, taking place at EXPO KIELCE from 10 to 12 June 2027.

The modernisation of the State Fire Service is gathering pace. Growing demands arising from fires, natural disasters, accidents and emerging threats require not only well-prepared rescue personnel, but also sustained investment in equipment for fire and rescue units.

The announcement of the new programme, worth more than PLN 330 million, forms part of broader efforts to modernise Poland’s uniformed services. Under the current 2026–2029 modernisation programme for uniformed services, a total of PLN 2.4 billion has been earmarked for the State Fire Service. The funding is intended, among other things, to purchase fire and rescue vehicles, upgrade IT and telecommunications systems, and invest in fire station infrastructure.

Modern Equipment to Meet New Threats

The range of tasks undertaken by firefighters continues to expand. Alongside traditional firefighting, technical rescue, chemical incident response, environmental protection and dealing with threats associated with emerging technologies are becoming increasingly important.

This calls for equipment suited to a wide variety of operational scenarios, from specialist vehicles and rescue tools to communications systems, threat-detection technologies, and personal protective equipment.

For manufacturers and suppliers of firefighting equipment, successive investment programmes create a need to adapt their products to the changing requirements of emergency services. For fire and rescue units, they offer an opportunity to further improve the effectiveness and safety of their operations.

KIELCE IFRE-EXPO 2027: Bringing Firefighters and Manufacturers Together

These are among the key issues to be addressed at the 6th International Trade Show of Fire Fighting Equipment and Rescue Services KIELCE IFRE-EXPO, taking place at EXPO KIELCE from 10 to 12 June 2027.

The event brings together manufacturers of fire engines, firefighting and rescue equipment, protective clothing, communications systems and technologies designed to enhance safety. It also provides an opportunity for representatives of the State Fire Service and Volunteer Fire Brigades to meet directly with companies developing emergency response solutions.

Such meetings become particularly valuable during periods of intensive investment. Comparing equipment, talking to manufacturers and exploring new technologies helps fire and rescue units prepare more effectively for future purchases.

The Firefighting Industry Returns to Kielce

The success of the previous edition demonstrates the strong interest in the event. In 2025, KIELCE IFRE-EXPO welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors, while 181 companies from 13 countries presented their products and services. The exhibition covered more than 10,000 square metres.

Next year’s edition will once again provide an opportunity to showcase new equipment, exchange experience and discuss the challenges facing Poland’s emergency services.

KIELCE IFRE-EXPO 2027 will take place at EXPO KIELCE from 10 to 12 June.
