How to Make Dog Grooming a Stress-Free Experience: Magda Dyk Shares Her Advice at the Dog Show at EXPO KIELCE

19 October 2026
Can bathing, brushing or nail trimming become a pleasure for dogs? How can you get your four-legged friend used to grooming without putting them off from the very first attempt? Magda Dyk, a groomer and canine behaviourist who combines professional grooming with a caring approach to animals’ emotional well-being, will share her advice at the International Dog Show at EXPO KIELCE.

This year’s International Dog Show, taking place on 28 and 29 November 2026, will feature a new attraction. For the first time, the event will include a stage hosting expert talks, giving dog owners the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about caring for their pets.

One of the invited specialists is Magda Dyk, founder of the Biały Ogon grooming salon, who demonstrates that it is possible to completely change your career path and follow your passion.

From Economics to Dog Grooming

Magda Dyk holds a master’s degree in economics, but after years of desk work, she decided to pursue what truly interested her. She has been working as a dog groomer and canine behaviourist for five years. She regularly develops her skills through training with respected specialists from Poland and abroad.

In her business, she combines modern grooming techniques with an understanding of canine behaviour and emotions. Her approach is based on the belief that a successful grooming session is about more than a well-groomed coat – above all, it is about ensuring that the dog feels safe.

Grooming Can Build Trust

During her talk at EXPO KIELCE, the expert will explain how to prepare a dog for visits to the groomer and for everyday grooming at home. She will offer advice on introducing dogs to being touched, brushes and other grooming tools, as well as recognising signs that an animal is feeling uncomfortable.

Visitors will also learn why rushing and forcing a dog to cooperate can be counterproductive, and how grooming can become an opportunity to build trust between a dog and its owner.

Practical tips, fascinating facts about dogs and examples from the expert’s day-to-day work will all feature in the session.

A New Feature at the International Dog Show

The expert-talk stage is a new addition to this year’s programme. Alongside pedigree dog presentations, competitions and ZOO Salon stands, visitors will have a chance to discuss animal health, behaviour and responsible pet care.

The session with Magda Dyk will offer practical advice on turning everyday grooming from an unpleasant chore into a calm, positive routine.

The International Dog Show and ZOO Salon will take place at EXPO KIELCE on 28–29 November 2026. The detailed schedule of talks on the expert stage will be published ahead of the event.
