More Light, Comfort and Smart Technology. FAKRO Named Silver Sponsor of WinDoGlass Innovation
FAKRO’s display will demonstrate how the right choice of windows and doors can bring more daylight into an attic, open up interiors to their surroundings, reduce heat loss through the building envelope and automate the everyday operation of windows and blinds. The range will be of interest to architects, designers, distributors and installers, as well as investors planning to build or modernise a home.
GREENVIEW – a New Generation of Roof Windows
One of the highlights of the presentation will be the GREENVIEW range of roof windows. Their 44-mm-thick triple-glazed P50 unit and window construction contribute to thermal insulation performance, helping to reduce heat loss through the building envelope.
The P50 glazing unit, featuring a double sound-insulating film, helps reduce noise penetration from outside. The toughened outer pane increases the unit’s resistance to hail impact, while the laminated P2A-class inner pane reduces the risk of injury should the glass break. The topSafe system further enhances structural safety.
A practical feature is the easy-clean coating, which uses UV radiation to break down organic contaminants, which are then washed away from the glass surface by rain. An automatic air inlet regulates the flow of fresh air while the window remains closed.
GREENVIEW windows are available in centre-pivot and top-hung and pivot versions, as well as balcony and terrace configurations. The minimalist external flashing is available, among other options, in anthracite, black and grey-brown, making it easier to match the windows to the roof and overall architecture of the building. urlMore about the GREENVIEW rangehttps://www.fakro.pl/greenview
More Light Under a Flat Roof
FAKRO will also showcase windows designed for flat roofs. They bring daylight into rooms located beneath flat roofs, where traditional vertical or roof windows cannot be used.
This solution is suitable for homes with a modern, simple architectural form, as well as corridors, bathrooms, stairwells and rooms located deep inside a building. A carefully designed roof glazing solution allows daylight to be used more effectively and can reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day.
The range will be complemented by sun tunnels that channel natural light from the roof into the interior. They can be used in spaces where the building structure or room layout makes it impossible to install a conventional window.
Windows that Create Access to a Terrace or Balcony
The FAKRO stand will also feature dormer and terrace windows. Combining a window installed in the roof slope with a vertical element in the dormer wall increases the glazed area, broadens the view and provides greater access to natural light.
When opened, terrace window systems create access to a balcony or terrace, combining the functionality of a roof window with the opportunity to make better use of attic space. This is an attractive option for projects where the area beneath the roof is to become an integral part of the living space.
“We will showcase new roof, dormer and terrace windows that combine elegant design with practical features and bring more natural light into the attic,” says Janusz Komurkiewicz, FAKRO Management Board Member.
INNOVIEW – One Design Language for the Entire Home
FAKRO’s offering extends beyond the roof. The INNOVIEW range includes windows, HST lift-and-slide terrace doors and garage doors. The products can be designed in a consistent style, allowing individual elements to form a coherent visual composition across the entire building.
For architects, this means the opportunity to maintain a consistent design concept from the roof slope through to the façade and terrace area. Investors, meanwhile, can choose the colour, proportions and finish of their windows and doors while maintaining stylistic consistency across the different elements.
INNOVIEW also responds to the growing popularity of large glazed areas and wide openings leading from living rooms onto terraces or into gardens. HST systems make it possible to create open, light-filled interiors that visually connect the home with its surroundings. urlDiscover INNOVIEW windows and doorshttps://www.fakro.pl/innoview
Windows Connected to the Smart Home System
FAKRO’s electric window versions can be operated using a remote control or an app. This makes it easier to operate windows installed at height or in otherwise hard-to-reach locations.
The smartHome system allows compatible windows and accessories to be operated together and enables users to create automation scenarios tailored to their daily routines. In selected solutions, a rain sensor can automatically close the window when rainfall is detected. This is particularly useful in attics, where an open window may be difficult to close quickly.
The automation system can also control compatible windows and accessories, including solutions for regulating daylight and ventilation. The range of available functions depends on the selected system and the devices' configuration. During the trade show, visitors will have the opportunity to speak to FAKRO experts about choosing the right system for a new building and the possibilities for incorporating it into a home modernisation project.
