Mini Crane Operator Challenge at WinDoGlass. Precision and composure were the name of the game

26 September 2026
How precisely can a mini crane be operated? At the WinDoGlass trade show, participants in the Mini Crane Operator Challenge proved that, in the hands of an experienced operator, a machine can do far more than simply move heavy loads – it can even… draw and hit a target with a marker. The competition consisted of two challenges, with a tie-break deciding the final results.

The first challenge was all about precision. Using the mini crane, competitors had to draw a designated maze. Both accuracy and the time taken to complete the task counted.

The second challenge was much closer to the operators’ day-to-day work. Competitors had to position two crates within a designated area and then carefully place a third crate on top of them. Every movement mattered – the crates had to be positioned exactly where the rules required.

The podium was decided by a tie-break

The excitement did not end after the two challenges. The three top-ranked competitors went through to a tie-break, which proved to be the most spectacular part of the Mini Crane Operator Challenge.

This time, a marker was attached to the mini crane, and the operators had to mark a point on a dartboard. There was no room for correcting the result by hand – everything depended on precise control of the machine.

Once the tie-break was over, the top three operators were announced:

1st place – Arkadiusz Kozłowski
2nd place – Dominik Adamus
3rd place – Łukasz Walicki

The Mini Crane Operator Challenge was one of the events accompanying the WinDoGlass trade show at Expo Kielce. The competition demonstrated in practice what equipment used, among other things, to install heavy glazing is capable of, but above all, it showcased the skills of the operators themselves.

Because even the most advanced machine needs someone who knows how to make the most of its capabilities. Precision, feel and composure – these were the skills that determined the winner of the Mini Crane Operator Challenge.
