Dry steam, virtual painting and professional retouching. OTTIMO SYSTEMS demonstrations at WinDoGlass Innovation

24 August 2026
What to do with a protective film that cannot be easily removed? How can stubborn dirt be removed from a profile without soaking it in water? And can you master the correct painting technique without using a single drop of paint? Visitors can find answers during practical demonstrations at the OTTIMO SYSTEMS stand at WinDoGlass Innovation.

In the window and door joinery industry, product quality is only part of the equation. Equally important is knowing how to deal with problems that arise during production, transport, installation and servicing. A damaged surface, difficult-to-remove protective film or dirt in hard-to-reach areas does not necessarily mean costly replacement. In many cases, the right technology – combined with the knowledge of how to use it properly – is all that is needed.

Dry Steam for Removing Film and Tackling Stubborn Dirt

One of the solutions on show will be dry steam technology. Visitors will see how it can be used to remove protective film from window profiles and tackle stubborn dirt.

The demonstration will also include cleaning areas that are difficult to reach using conventional methods. This is particularly important when working with finished structures, where precision matters and it is essential to minimise the amount of water coming into contact with the profile and its surroundings.

Rather than simply hearing about the technology, visitors will be able to see the entire process in action and assess the results on actual window and door components.

Learning Painting Techniques in Virtual Reality

How can you perfect spray-painting techniques without using paint or setting up a spray-painting workstation? OTTIMO SYSTEMS will present **VirtualPaint VR**, a virtual reality training system.

After putting on the headset, participants will be transported to a virtual paint shop, where they can practise their spraying technique. The system analyses how the task is performed and provides real-time feedback.

This type of training allows exercises to be repeated as many times as necessary without using up materials. Users can focus on technique, identify their mistakes and track their progress in a safe, controlled environment.

From a Scratch to a Finished Result

The third demonstration will focus on repairing surface damage. OTTIMO SYSTEMS experts will show, step by step, how to restore the appearance of profiles made from PVC, aluminium or wood.

Participants will see the complete process – from assessing the damage through to the final result. The demonstration will show what professional repair techniques can achieve when dealing with scratches and other localised surface defects that may occur during the production, transport or installation of window and door joinery.

Technologies You Can See in Action

The three demonstrations cover different stages of the working process, but they all share a practical, hands-on approach. Visitors will be able to see the technologies in action, speak to experts and assess whether these solutions could improve day-to-day operations in a manufacturing plant, installation company or service business.
