A strong industry milieu - the task force of WinDoGlass Innovation
The first meeting of the WinDoGlass Innovation Business Council, on Thursday, 15 January, was inspiring and knowledge-packed; the discussions focused on the current state of the joinery and glass industry, global market trends, and forecasts for 2026. Maksymilian Miros presented detailed data and analyses from the Industry Forum, a media partner of the WinDoGlass Innovation Expo.
An essential voice in the discussion was the contractor community’s perspective. Szymon Kwaśnik, president of the Association of Window and Door Fitters, emphasised the need to create trade fair events that address real market challenges.
– In the face of changes in the market, there is a need to hold WinDoGlass Innovation Expo as the place to reach professionals and specialists and meet them directly. Small, craft companies – sole proprietors and family companies also need a space where they can gain knowledge and experience from producers present at the fair, Szymon Kwaśnik noted.
– We must also work intensively on education, promoting the craft and profession of a fitter among young people and their parents. This trade fair will also play such a role – it will become a promoter of the profession of fitter, he added.
The expo was built around challenges and relationships
The Business Council meeting was opened by Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce. "We are building trade fairs to meet the real needs of the industry, strengthen business relationships, and support its development," he noted.
Arkadiusz Krzeczkowski, director of the Trade Fairs Department, spoke about the opportunities for developing events held at Targi Kielce, highlighting the facility's scale and organisational potential. Monika Szydłowska, deputy director of the Trade Fairs Department, presented the new exhibition hall, which offers space for modern exhibition formats, industry meetings, and specialist events.
The WinDoGlass Innovation concept and inspiration from the Roof Forum
The vision of the WinDoGlass Innovation expo was presented by Katarzyna Wójcik, project manager, pointing out its specialised and developmental nature. During the meeting, the Roof Forum trade fair, organised at Targi Kielce for five years, was repeatedly cited as a model to follow – both in its format and in its industry community involvement.
The Business Council participants positively assessed the WinDoGlass Innovation idea. The wide range of opportunities offered by this event was discussed – from the presentation of innovations and modern solutions, through networking, to the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and educational activities. The advantage of Saturday as a market day was also highlighted, as it allows for more effective customer reach – a key factor for companies such as FAKRO, which value direct contact with end users.
