The Ars Eucharistica Exhibition
This year Sacroexpo offers its visitors the chance to admire the Ars Eucharistica exhibition. Art in the service of the Eucharist exhibitions is organised by the Diocesan Museum in Kielce and the Prima Porta Antiquities gallery. The display has been divided into historical and liturgical parts and presents 23 objects in three categories: The Last Supper, Crucifixion and Liturgy. The "Last Supper" section consists mainly of vessels that may have been placed on the table in the Cenacle. "Crucifixion" is the second part of the exhibition, with its main element - the Helmet of the Roman Legionary and Hast, a spear similar to the one that pierced through the side of Jesus. The items mentioned in the Bible in the context of crucifixions, such as Roman dice and nails are also on display. The exhibition culminates with a part devoted to the Liturgy, presenting objects from the Byzantine era, such as the Ceremonial Cross from the 12th century and the Hanging Censer from the same period. The exhibition is designed to show the liturgical objects' specific history up to the present day.
