The “Green List”, a New Solution for Soldiers, Presented at MSPO
MSPO is a platform for showcasing equipment for the armed forces and uniformed services, bringing together representatives of public administration and industry, and announcing solutions that shape the direction of the modernisation of the Polish Armed Forces. The “Green List” unveiled in Kielce is intended to directly impact soldiers’ service conditions while also providing manufacturers with a transparent route to offer proven solutions to the military.
The launch of the Green List was announced during the press briefing. The event attracted considerable attention from both specialist and national media. The principles of the “Green List” were presented by Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence; Paweł Mateńczuk, Plenipotentiary of the Minister of National Defence for Military Service Conditions; and retired Colonel Michał Pycio, an expert at the Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Minister of National Defence for Military Service Conditions.
The Green List is a new solution that will allow soldiers to select additional items of individual equipment from a range of products that have been tested and approved for use by the Ministry of National Defence. The mechanism is intended to provide an additional, voluntary option for choosing products better suited to individual needs, the specific nature of assigned tasks and personal preferences.
The importance of properly fitting equipment was highlighted by Paweł Mateńczuk “Naval”, the Plenipotentiary of the Minister of National Defence for Military Service Conditions, who took part in the briefing. As he pointed out, even seemingly minor inconveniences – an ill-fitting helmet, footwear or piece of personal equipment – can affect a soldier’s concentration, endurance and effectiveness during prolonged operations.
The Green List will not be a directory of shops or a tool for promoting specific manufacturers. Instead, it will feature specific products that successfully complete the assessment process and meet the requirements set by the Polish Armed Forces.
