Scania to Present Modular Armoured Cab at MSPO 2026

03 August 2026
During the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Scania will present a new modular armoured cab developed with defence logistics, crew protection, and maintaining high operational readiness of vehicles in mind.

The official presentation will take place on 8 September 2026 at Scania stand No. 7Z-62 at 13:45.

The armoured cab is part of Scania’s modular vehicle system. This allows the vehicle to be configured according to the mission profile, integrate specialised equipment and task systems, and maintain a high level of fleet standardisation.

The cab provides ballistic and blast protection compliant with the STANAG 4569 standard at levels 1–3. The level of protection can be adapted to operational requirements without compromising driver ergonomics, good visibility, and efficient manoeuvring in difficult conditions. The design also takes into account strategic mobility requirements, including compliance with the UIC GA railway clearance envelope.

The solution is available for 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 configurations.

The cab is manufactured in Sweden and integrated within Scania’s standard production system. The common vehicle architecture means access to standardised spare parts, existing service infrastructure, and support throughout the product lifecycle. This translates into high fleet availability, simplified maintenance, and predictable operating costs.

Scania has been providing solutions for the defence sector for over a century, including trucks and engines used by NATO member states and allied countries.

At the stand, visitors will be able to see the cab up close and discuss vehicle configuration options for specific operational tasks with Scania experts.
