NECROEXPO 2026 commencement, Kielce once again the center of the funeral industry
The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Kielce, Agata Wojda, representatives of industry organisations, international funeral associations, and exhibitors from Poland and abroad. The event's partner is traditionally the Polish Funeral Chamber Association, which has been co-organising the NECROEXPO fair since its first edition.
The ceremony began with a unique performance by Patrycja Owczarzak from Piękna Ceremonia, who performed the song "I like to go back where I was" by Zbigniew Wodecki, symbolically emphasising the long-standing tradition of funeral industry meetings in Kielce.
During the opening, there was abundance of thanks and awards for people who made particular contributions to the development of the fair and the entire funeral industry. Special statuettes were presented to, inter alia, representatives of Targi Kielce, long-term partners of NECROEXPO, and entrepreneurs associated with the event for years.
A special moment of the ceremony was the announcement of the contract signing for the supply of a cremation furnace for the first crematorium to be built in the Kielce district. As the event participants emphasised, the beginning of this cooperation was the discussions held during previous editions of NECROEXPO and industry conferences organised in Kielce.
A new feature of this year's edition is the participation of the Polish Humanist Celebrants Association, which presents humanist funeral ceremonies in a specially prepared Farewell Room.
The ceremony concluded with a clothing show for funeral home workers prepared by the Carmen team and the official opening of the trade fair exhibition. Participants have two days of business meetings, product launches, conferences and industry debates.
The 11th NECROEXPO once again proves that Kielce is the place for the most important discussions about the future of the funeral and cemetery industry.
