National Foundry Day - 9 December

17 october 2022
The National Foundry Day is held under the banner of "Challenges for the foundry industry"; the event is held on 9 December at the Best Western PREMIER Hotel in Krakow

The National Foundry Day is the most important event for Poland's foundry industry. For several years this holiday has also been an important event on the international arena,  as evidenced by the growing number of foreign participants we see each year.

The event's excellent position is evidenced not only by the statistics but also by the fact that it is held under the patronage of the World Foundry Organization. The Media Patronage for the event has been granted by the world-famous Foundry Planet portal.  In 2019, over 250 people participated in the conference

This year's Founder's Day will be combined with a technical conference on  "Challenges for the foundry industry". As an energy-intensive industry, the foundry industry faces many challenges including  high prices of raw materials and energy, workforce shortage and the need to modernise machines. These are some of the basic challenges in this scetor. Meeting these challenges is necessary to ensure the competitive advantage of enterprises in global markets.

The conference will be mainly devoted to the modernisation and innovation possibilities, solutions designed for energy consumption reduction, digitisation, changes in production processes, more stringent demands for castings and the implementation of the Industry 4.0 idea.
