The Regional Economic Forum New Energy is underway. The event has been organised in our centre by Echo Dnia. In a panel devoted to security entitled "How Poland and the regions will develop as a result of growing defence spending," President Andrzej Mochoń spoke not only about the impact of trade fair events on the Świętokrzyskie economy, but also about the impact of the International Defence Industry Exhibition on Polish defence.

The conversation  also featured  Adam Jarubas, Member of the European Parliament, Chairman of the Public Health Committee, Lieutenant General Marek Sokołowski, General Commander of the Armed Forces, Mateusz Roszkiewicz, Director of the Department of Strategy and Operational Planning of the Polish Armaments Group, Agata Wojda, Mayor of Kielce, and Józef Bryk, Voivode of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was in the audience. In his interventions preceding the panel, the head of the Ministry of National Defence emphasised that he was very pleased that a place like Targi Kielce was not only open to exhibitors at major trade fairs such as the International Defence Industry Exhibition, but was also a centre of activity and a centre for exchanging views and knowledge.

Mayor Agata Wojda noted that the role of both MSPO and other trade fair events is crucial to the city not only in economic terms, but also in promotional and tourist terms. President Andrzej Mochoń also spoke about these aspects, as well as MSPO's contribution to the development of Polish defence. "Our greatest contribution is that we are a platform where politics, the military, and business can meet," President Mochoń noted.

Tomorrow the consecutive day of the Regional Economic Forum.
