MSPO 2026. VEGA, a Polish Manufacturer, Advances Technologies for Next-Generation Ammunition

28 July 2026
At the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) 2026, Polish company VEGA will showcase state-of-the-art solutions engineered to elevate the reliability and performance of modern ammunition. The enterprise specialises in the design and manufacture of combustible nitrocellulose components for mortar and artillery munitions, delivering high-grade solutions fully compatible with both NATO standards and non-Alliance military platforms.

At the core of the company’s portfolio are combustible mortar containers available in 60 mm, 81 mm, 82 mm, 98 mm, and 120 mm calibres, alongside specialised solutions developed for 155 mm artillery ammunition—the cornerstone artillery standard across NATO forces today. VEGA’s products excel with superior resistance to harsh weather conditions and mechanical stress, and an extreme operational temperature range of -50°C to +70°C. Furthermore, they can be stored for over ten years without any performance degradation, making them a strategic asset for logistics management and long-term stockpile preservation.

The proprietary technology developed by VEGA significantly boosts propellant charge energy efficiency while simultaneously minimising post-combustion residue and smoke signatures. These advanced solutions are also fully compatible with nitroglycerin-based propellants, making them ideal for integration across a broad spectrum of munition systems.

During MSPO, the company will display samples and models of its nitrocellulose combustible containers tailored for mortar ammunition utilised by both NATO member states and operators of alternative calibre systems. A major highlight of the exhibition will be the premier reveal of its 155 mm artillery ammunition containers, which are slated to officially enter the Polish manufacturer’s commercial portfolio in 2027. This marks a milestone in the company’s expansion, directly addressing the surging global demand for critical components in modern artillery munitions.
