MSPO 2026 Premiere: The R-460W and BAZ-20P — Poland’s First Radio Line Operating in the Ka Band (36–37 GHz)

24 July 2026
At the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) 2026, Transbit is set to unveil an exclusive premier product. The R-460W Low Probability of Intercept Radio Line is a key cornerstone of Transbit’s high-capacity line-of-sight (HCLOS) radio line portfolio. Transbit’s radio systems are purpose-built to forge high-throughput data transmission networks over long distances — spanning seamlessly from tactical to operational echelons.

These systems establish the core transmission layer for access and backbone networks, powering vital communications between dispersed force deployments and command posts at battalion, brigade, and division levels.

Engineered for maximum versatility, these solutions excel across both mobile and stationary communication nodes. Built to perform flawlessly in both rugged field environments and fixed installations, they deliver rock-solid, secure, and high-performance data transmission throughout every component of the communications infrastructure.

Operating in the Ka band (36–37 GHz), the R-460W delivers broadband point-to-point connectivity, boasting throughputs of around 100 Mbps over ranges of up to 10 km.  The unit has been precision-engineered for demanding operational environments where operational stealth, top-tier transmission security, and a minimal RF signature are absolute mission requirements.

Harnessing cutting-edge Software-Defined Radio (SDR) technology, the system offers dynamic control over operating frequency, channel bandwidth, modulation, power output, and operational modes, enabling instant adaptation to real-time mission demands and propagation conditions.

A central highlight of this solution is the integrated BAZ-20P antenna rotor, custom-developed in-house by Transbit. It enables precise, remote antenna steering across azimuth and elevation planes, complete with automated position stabilisation to effortlessly counteract wind gusts and mast deflection.

The R-460W serves as a vital backbone for establishing high-bandwidth point-to-point links between dispersed combat units across the battlespace.

The R-460W radio line stands as a powerful testament to cutting-edge Polish innovation, developed through Transbit’s native engineering expertise specifically for next-generation military communications systems.

The R-460W radio line and its companion BAZ-20P antenna rotor will celebrate their public debut at MSPO 2026. Experience this game-changing solution firsthand at the Transbit exhibition stand.
