The agreement was signed by the State Treasury, represented by the Ministry of National Defence, the Polish Development Fund S.A., Kraków Technology Park and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. On behalf of the Ministry of National Defence, the document was signed by Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence.

IDA Bootcamp is an acceleration programme for organisations developing dual-use technologies that can be applied both in the civilian market and in the defence sector. Participants have the opportunity to work directly with representatives of the armed forces, government administration, the defence industry and venture capital funds.

The programme enables participants to test their projects against real user needs, consult with experts, conduct trials in an environment resembling operational conditions, and prepare their solutions for deployment and further scaling.

“In Poland, we have everything: innovators, startups, industry and capital. What we need is a system that effectively brings these elements together,” stressed Cezary Tomczyk.

MSPO Supports Cooperation Between the Armed Forces, Industry and Academia

The signing of the agreement at MSPO demonstrates that the Kielce exhibition is not only a showcase for ready-made equipment, but also a place where mechanisms supporting the development of new technologies are being created.

The presence of representatives of the Armed Forces, government administration, industry, academia, startups and investors makes it possible to move from identifying a military need to jointly developing a solution. IDA Bootcamp is designed to shorten this journey and increase the chances that promising projects developed by Polish innovators will be identified, tested and put into practical use.
