ZPAS S.A. is a Polish manufacturer of enclosure systems and technical infrastructure, which has been operating in the Kłodzko Valley for over 50 years. The company employs nearly 800 people across five production plants with a total area of over 51,000 m², including a team of 80 engineers specialising in mechanical structures and electrical enclosures, supported by its own Research and Development department. All plants are linked by a shared ERP-class planning system, which enables resources and processes to be coordinated regardless of the location where a given project is being carried out. ZPAS exports its solutions to over 20 countries.
For military and public security services, ZPAS designs and manufactures infrastructure that must operate continuously, regardless of external conditions. At our stand during the MSPO in Kielce, we are presenting three solutions which, taken together, demonstrate what cybersecurity looks like from the perspective of physical infrastructure.
An outdoor cabinet for communications systems is a structure used, amongst other things, in TETRA networks – a digital and coded communications system employed by the police, fire service, ambulance service and the armed forces. Nearly 300 such cabinets, manufactured by ZPAS, are already in operation in Poland. Inside, they contain telecommunications equipment, backup batteries and air conditioning designed to operate in extreme temperatures. The structure is bolted together, which facilitates maintenance, whilst additional anti-theft measures, including security seals, protect against unauthorised access.
The mini server room demonstrates what a closed, on-premises IT system looks like, designed for organisations that cannot process data in the public cloud due to its sensitivity. ZPAS carries out such projects from concept to implementation: fitting out the room, electrical installation, precision air conditioning, fire suppression systems, access control and monitoring. This approach works well wherever data must remain physically on-site and under the user’s full control. For security services requiring infrastructure ready for rapid deployment at any location, ZPAS also offers container server rooms.
The control centre completes the operational picture of critical infrastructure, integrating communications and monitoring systems at the point from which the services’ operations are coordinated.
All the solutions presented are manufactured at ZPAS’s Polish facilities, without the involvement of subcontractors from outside the region. This enables the company to maintain full control over the production process and quality at every stage, which is particularly important in projects where not only technical efficiency but also the certainty of the origin of each component is crucial.
