Tulmar is a Canadian-owned manufacturer of engineered protective solutions for defence, aviation and civil safety organizations worldwide. From our AS9100-accredited manufacturing facility in Ontario, more than 100 employees design, engineer, manufacture and support advanced safety systems for land, air and sea applications. Tulmar solutions are delivered to customers in more than 33 countries.

Our defence portfolio includes the Galeo family of tactical personal flotation devices, developed for riverine, amphibious, coastal and cold-weather operations. Galeo SF offers a streamlined, low-profile configuration, while Galeo Plus provides increased buoyancy and compatibility with mission-specific equipment. Tulmar has a long history of supporting the Canadian Armed Forces, having delivered more than 60,000 flotation devices, and is currently delivering more than 12,000 tactical PFD units to the United Kingdom under Project Talbot.

Tulmar also develops solutions for emerging operational threats. Our Drone Capture Net provides non-kinetic protection for vehicles, personnel, command posts and critical infrastructure exposed to UAV threats. The system has also been integrated with Saab Barracuda solutions, combining signature management and engineered textile protection.

The Sling Lok carbine retention system provides operators with a secure, accessible method of retaining their weapon during demanding tactical and maritime operations. Additional capabilities include inflatable shelters, military vehicle outfitting and custom-engineered textile systems.

Tulmar works closely with defence primes and allied supply chains, including serving as a manufacturing partner to Saab and a prime supplier to General Dynamics Land Systems in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom for more than 15 years. Tulmar was also recognized by General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada as its Innovation Supplier of the Year.
