LONG-RANGE AUTONOMOUS STRIKE PLATFORM CHORNA TRYPILLIAN
A fully autonomous long-range platform for high-precision delivery, designed to operate in environments with intense countermeasures, GNSS degradation, or complete GNSS denial. The platform bridges the gap between tactical UAVs and strategic strike systems, enabling the cost-effective execution of long-range operations without the need for continuous operator control.
CHORNA is an autonomous fixed-wing unpowered strike glider designed for long-range precision delivery with a strategic delivery range of up to 10,000 km (pre-positioning capability). Air-launched from altitudes of up to 20 km, it performs a fully autonomous glide followed by a steep terminal dive. The platform features a 2.0 m wingspan, a 2.5 m length, a 13.2 kg all-up weight, and a 7.5 kg payload. With a 13:1 glide ratio, a terminal speed of approximately 110 m/s, and a CEP of around 10 m, CHORNA delivers high-precision strike capability. The navigation system combines INS (IMU) with CRPA-protected GNSS, ensuring reliable operation in GNSS-degraded and GNSS-denied environments. The platform requires no communication link during mission execution, provides up to 16 hours of avionics autonomy, withstands crosswinds of up to 60 m/s, operates at temperatures down to −55°C, and features an aerospace-grade automatic release mechanism.
