Description
Technical insulation includes customized thermal and acoustic insulation solutions for applications requiring heat and cold insulation, sound insulation and damping, as well as vibration and noise reduction.
Product
Our technical insulation portfolio includes individually manufactured die-cut parts, molded components and milled parts, precisely tailored for vehicle cabins, engine compartments and industrial equipment.
Our material portfolio consists of various base materials, including technical foams, glass fiber mats, heavy foils, polyester nonwovens and laminated material combinations that combine multiple properties. In addition, many materials are available as rolls or sheets, with self-adhesive backing or decorative surfaces.
We manufacture insulation solutions:
with short lead times through in-house production
from single parts to high-volume series production
in 2D and 3D geometries
from more than 100 proven base materials and material combinations
with customized material structures

Applications
In mechanical and apparatus engineering, our technical foams are frequently used for enclosures and cabin linings to reduce noise and vibrations. In railway vehicles, they help minimize external temperature influences and support a consistent interior climate.
In engine compartments, our glass fiber mat solutions are used to protect critical components from excessive heat. Liquid insulation products such as BarySkin® can be directly applied to surfaces and are particularly suitable for corrosion protection in shipbuilding as well as vibration damping of thin metal sheets.

Technology
Our extensive machine park covering more than 4,000 m² is equipped with waterjet cutting systems for pure water and abrasive water cutting in 2D and 3D, cutting plotters, hot-wire cutters and milling machines.
All production steps are carried out in-house at our facility in Detmold. These include corona surface treatment, bonding and laminating with tapes, liquid or hot-melt adhesives, as well as edge and cut-edge sealing.
Upon request, we assemble products into complete kits and package them according to customer specifications.
In our in-house climate chamber, we can test laminated insulation material assemblies under extreme environmental conditions to verify their performance and durability.
