Panasonic TOUGHBOOK offers rugged, ready-to-use laptops and tablets engineered for mission-critical performance. These COTS-based devices are the ideal tool for all defense-related tasks and have been tested for reliability and durability according to military standards (MIL-STD 810G) and IP65/IP66. Thanks to bright outdoor displays with glove mode, extremely long battery life, and hot-swap capabilities, they guarantee uninterrupted 24-hour operation.
Flexible Configurations for Defence Tasks
Alongside the proven ruggedness another key element of Toughbook is the flexible configuration specifically tailored to the requirements. Customers can add modular customization options such as integrated military-grade connectors and interfaces for vehicle integration, or remove connectivity or communication functions such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera, or microphone to reduce detectability.
A wide range of accessories, vehicle docking, and carrying solutions complete the solution offering. TOUGHBOOK devices are available with Windows and are also certified for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Secure and reliable data
To keep teams connected and data secure, Toughbook forms a multi-layered architecture of rugged hardware combined with integrated security features. This includes quick-release SSDs and NATO-approved encrypted VIASAT SSDs, but also a Secure Wipe function which completely erases all SSD data within one minute. With the hardware-based cybersecurity solution TOUGHBOOK Guard, device integrity is protected at the component level throughout the entire supply chain and into the field. It continuously validates the device's hardware configuration and ensures, even before startup, that the devices have not been modified, even without an internet connection.
