GovSat-1 was launched in 2018 and is designed to remain operational until 2038. GovSat-1 provides dedicated satellite capacity for government and institutional users, supporting defence and security applications with assured, mission-focused connectivity. Its non-preemptible, reliable, and fully accessible service delivers high-performance satellite communications across both X-band and Military Ka-band. Operating on military frequencies, GovSat-1 ensures high availability for critical operations spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southwest Asia, and key maritime regions.
GovSat-2, the second military communications satellite, is expected to launch over the European geostationary arc in 2029. Joining GovSat-1, it will enhance reliable, non-preemptible services for government and defence users across the region.
Equipped with UHF, X-band, and Military Ka-band capacity, the geostationary satellite will be engineered with hardened security, advanced anti-jamming capabilities, and embedded geolocation, extending coverage and service assurance to meet the highest defence standards.
