"Hisdesat is a government satellite operator active in the areas of defence, security, intelligence and foreign affairs. It provides secure satellite communications services (SpainSat and SpainSat NG I), Earth observation (PAZ) and maritime traffic information via satellite (AIS) to government agencies in various countries.
It is a strategic company for the Spanish Government, with advanced satellite programmes that have generated significant industrial returns for the national space sector since its creation.
Hisdesat showcases the capabilities of its secure communications and defence satellites, SpainSat and SpainSat NG, the latter being one of the most advanced in Europe. They provide services to the Spanish Ministry of Defence, allied countries and international organisations such as the EU and NATO.
It also operates the PAZ satellite, equipped with a very high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR), which provides accurate information for a wide range of applications from its polar orbit around the Earth. "
