Founded in 2018, AMS is a wholly Canadian owned and operated SMB. AMS was born from an identified gap in the Marine Engineering market where clients weren’t provided with a service focused on delivering the best solution for the needs of the project. Since inception AMS has achieved organic sustainable growth with an active workforce of 45+ FTEs across the country. AMS delivers to customers within both Governmental and private industry sectors, throughout North America and to like-minded allies.

Our team spans all marine engineering disciplines and competencies with experience in all the major marine engineering software solutions and across the entire design maturity and asset lifecycle phases.

Partnerships are critical to AMS’s operating structure and collaborative mindset. As an SMB we acknowledge that our output is essential for our existence. We appreciate that to provide the best solutions for our clients we must include expertise and specialisms that can reside outside of our capabilities. We have developed a robust network of support collaborators compiled of subject matter experts and industry’s leading minds. AMS prioritizes the use and inclusion of wholly Canadian entities to deliver to our customers and strengthen the domestic capabilities throughout the sector.
AMS has sought to engage and promote the Canadian Indigenous capabilities in the maritime sector and established a partnership with a Newfoundland and Labrador company, Dawich, to get the first right of refusal on any outsourced project management work we require. AMS understands that to deliver the needs of Canada today and for the future we must prioritize and promote our domestic capabilities.

Our marine production engineering pedigree serves as the backbone of our service provisions to our clients. AMS delivers engineering service solutions across the entire design maturity lifecycle for new vessels as well as undertaking repair, retrofitting, and vessel asset management. AMS’ enhanced offerings include 3D modeling, 3D laser scanning, Asset Information Management, In-Service Support, and Data Management.

Operating across the marine, maritime as well as the mining and energy markets AMS has worked on the following vessels and marine assets including Canada’s Joint Support Ship, River Class Destroyers, West Whiterose, MV Asterix, Clean Air Engineering Maritime floating emissions greening, Asterix, Submarines, AOPS, + Pool, Icebreakers, Oil barges, Hydrogen Tow boats, Crane Barges, hybrid Articulated Tug Barges, and Multi-Mission vessels.

AMS has been recognized as a Canada Top 100 defence company since 2022 for its support to the defence industry both domestically and internationally. We have appropriate corporate and personnel clearances, controlled goods, and DSC certifications. AMS is ISO 9001 certified and the only AVEVA marine systems integrator in North America. AMS also has Professional Engineers certified in various provinces across Canada.
