Sustainability in the spotlight at AGRO & Active TRAVEL Expo
The meeting provided a space to discuss the future of rural tourism amid growing environmental and economic challenges. Participants debated the sector's development directions, paying particular attention to the need to balance the attractiveness of the tourist offer with a responsible approach to natural resources and local communities. The first day of the conference was attended by: Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Ireneusz Raś, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Adam Nowak and Adam Jarubasa, Member of the European Parliament.
The agenda included issues related to the financing of tourism projects from EU funds, regulatory changes in the tourism services sector, and the assumptions of the strategy for the development of rural, nature-based and active tourism. Also, the presentation of good practices from European countries, which demonstrated how to effectively implement the principles of sustainable development, was an important element.
The second day of the conference was a workshop focused on specific tools and solutions to support the development of rural tourism. Participants worked on creating attractive tourism products, promoting them and using modern communication tools, including digital marketing and storytelling.
The conference confirmed that sustainable development is no longer just a trend, but a necessary condition for the continued functioning and competitiveness of rural tourism. The meeting at Targi Kielce was an important voice in this discussion and a practical impulse for further action in the industry.
