Minister Stefan Krajewski opened the Agro&Active Travel Expo at Targi Kielce

Rural Tourism and Active Recreation Agro &Active Travel Expo was officially opened at Targi Kielce - the official inauguration was performed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Stefan Krajewski.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of government, local government and industry institutions, among them  Adam Jarubas, Member of the European Parliament The featured invited guests were also representatives of the regional and city authorities of Kielce:  Agata Wojda, Mayor of Kielce, and Michał Skotnicki, Deputy Voivode of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

 The event was also attended by representatives of key institutions supporting the development of tourism and agriculture: Magdalena Krucz – President and Małgorzata Wilk-Grzywna – Vice-President of the Polish Tourist Organization, Małgorzata Libuda – Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Inspector of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Food Products, Marcin Chłodnicki – Deputy Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Inspector of Plant Protection and Seed Inspection, Piotr Żołądek – Branch Director of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, Justyna Kasprzyk – Director of the Local Branch of the National Centre for Agricultural Support and Agnieszka Pietrzak – Director of the Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Center in Modliszewice.

After the official opening, Minister Stefan Krajewski took part in a press briefing, during which he emphasised the importance of rural tourism as one of the important directions of development of rural areas and building an attractive tourist offer for Poland.

The minister then visited the trade fair exhibition organised by exhibitors from across the country. The expo stands present offers from agritourism farms, local producers and institutions promoting active recreation in the countryside.

The visit could not be complete without tastings – the minister was interested in trying regional products and traditional dishes, which are one of the most important elements of rural tourism.

Agro &Active Travel Expo is an event that combines the promotion of tourism, regional culture and an active lifestyle, providing a space for industry meetings and inspiration for visitors.
