Tradition, flavors and legends in one place – discover the unique stands of NIKiDW at Agro & Active Travel Expo
The Agro & Active Travel expo at Targi Kielce (11–12 April) welcomes the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage, and its partners have prepared a rich programme of attractions that will allow you to immerse yourself in the world of tradition, crafts and flavours of the Polish countryside.
At the first expo stand, visitors will learn about the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage's activities, which have documented and promoted rural culture for years. The Institute supports folk artists, publishes works, and inspires the discovery and cultivation of cultural heritage.
A little further on, Etnoportal.pl awaits – a modern tool for lovers of rural tourism with interactive maps and practical tips, you can plan a trip full of local attractions, events and flavours. At the expo stand, you can test the portal on a large screen and learn about its capabilities.
Lovers of history and legends should visit the Park of Legends expo stand, where the stories of the Świętokrzyskie region come to life. The agenda included workshops on making motanki dolls, puppets and meetings with animators playing characters from local legends.
The "Pytlówka" educational farm will invite you to demonstrations of gingerbread decorating, herbal salt and flower sugar making, and tastings of traditional products. This is an excellent opportunity to feel the atmosphere of an old village and its everyday customs.
At the Smakulski Apiary expo stand welcomes participants who learn the secrets of beekeeping, from building a hive to producing honey. Workshops, shows and exhibitions related to the life of bees come in abundance.
Folk art will be on display thanks to the work of Magdalena Bochenek, who will showcase the traditions of Zalipie painting. Visitors will see hand-decorated objects and a display of distinctive floral patterns.
Lovers of regional flavours will be able to visit the KGW Korniczanki stand, where they will be able to try traditional baked goods such as sękacz, a Polish tree-like sweet cake and korowaje, as well as see a demonstration of the preparation of this unique, ceremonial cake.
The NIKiDW expo stand is a space where tradition meets modernity, and folk culture gains new life. This is a must-see stop for anyone who wants to feel the authentic atmosphere of the Polish countryside and discover its extraordinary richness.
