All you need to know about agriturism - Targi Kielce is the knowledge well
The meeting brought together a wide range of representatives of public administration, industry experts, the scientific community, tourism organisations, and practitioners developing tourism offers in rural areas. The presence of representatives of institutions such as the European Parliament, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Polish Tourist Organisation gave the event the status of a strategic platform for intersectoral dialogue.
The conference opened with keynote speeches highlighting the growing importance of rural tourism as a pillar of sustainable regional development. Later in the program, experts presented both systemic conditions and specific mechanisms for supporting the sector, from the new European Union financial perspective and regulatory changes to the role of industry events in building market competitiveness.
An important point on the agenda was three plenary sessions that structured the discussion around key thematic areas. The first session focused on prospects for the development of rural tourism, analysing the impact of public policies and regulations on the industry's future. The second session was devoted to the issues of sustainable development, both in theoretical terms and in the context of implementing sectoral strategies, including nature and culinary tourism.
The third plenary session, presenting good practices from Poland and Europe, was of particular substantive value. Case studies from countries such as Spain, Italy and Austria have shown that effective implementation of sustainable development principles translates directly into increased regional attractiveness and economic resilience. This part was supplemented by examples of local initiatives and the development of bicycle tourism – indicated as one of the key trends shaping the future of non-urban areas.
On the second day of the event, participants will take part in practical workshops that will be a natural extension of the conference. The workshop program was designed to provide specific tools and competencies – from designing rural tourism products in line with the principles of sustainable development, through the use of digital solutions in bicycle tourism, to building a marketing narrative based on the culinary heritage of the regions.
From a communication and image perspective, the conference confirms the growing maturity of the rural tourism sector in Poland and its readiness to adapt towards sustainable models. The event not only enables the exchange of knowledge and experiences but, above all, initiates further activities aimed at integrating the community and developing common development standards.
The conference at Targi Kielce SA is an important step towards building a coherent, responsible and competitive rural tourism offer that aligns with the long-term goals of socio-economic development at both the national and European levels.
