Raytheon Missiles & Defense at the 28th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce

At this year's MSPO at Targi Kielce, Raytheon Missiles and Defense, the company owned by Raytheon Technologies focused on the four critical areas of cooperation with Poland: partnership cooperation with Poland's industry, collaboration with the clients designed to develop state-of-the-art solutions which serve the purpose of Poland's defence capabilities, activities for the local community as well as activities Raytheon Missiles and Defense operation - one of the four business units of Raytheon Technologies. The concern was formed as a result of the Raytheon and United Technology Corporation merger.

The most crucial issues addressed by the Raytheon Missiles and Defense at the trade fair include:

  • Cooperation with the Polish industry

Raytheon Missiles and Defense is committed to long-term partnership cooperation with the Polish industry, going beyond the first phase of the WISŁA programme. The nine Polish companies have signed contracts with RM&D for the production of the components for the Patriot system, phase 1  of the "Wisła" Programme. These companies are part of the global RM&D supply chain and are thus offered the opportunity to sell their solutions in foreign markets. The RM&D industrial partners' group includes Demarko, Research and Development Centre, Maritime Technology Centre, Military Electronic Works (WZE):  Tarnów Mechanical Works (ZMT) Stalowa Wola Steelworks SA, (HSW): PEX-POOL PLUS, TELDAT and PIT-RADWAR aggregates.

  • Cooperation with the client designed to develop cutting edge solutions for Poland's defence capabilities

Raytheon Missiles and Defense is the Ministry of National Defence's trusted partner and has cooperated with the Polish Armed Forces providing the most modern solutions which will guarantee Poland's security, sovereignty and will protect citizens and the state's infrastructure against aggression. We focus on providing the client with solutions which solve their problems and provide the necessary defence capabilities. RM&D offers solutions which ensure Poland's security:
 

  1. Patriot ™ anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence system. Poland and 16 other countries build their air and anti-missile defence capabilities on the battle-proven Patriot system by Raytheon. Patriot provides Poland with comprehensive and battle-tested, integrated anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence systems.
  2. F-35 fighters weapons which will soon become a part of the Polish defence system. RM&D and its sister companies produce important components used in the F-35.
  • For the local community

Raytheon Missiles and Defense supports the local community through a variety of pro-social activities,  the company promotes exact sciences education and cooperates with the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw to inspire and motivate next generations of scientists and engineers. RM&D also supports the Remembrance and Future Association which helps the families of fallen soldiers. Moreover, RM&D offers internship programmes for Polish students. The Warsaw office employees engage in various social programs: fund-raising, charity, and volunteer programs.

  • Raytheon Missiles and Defense activities within the scope of the Raytheon Technologies

RM&D is a business unit of Raytheon Technologies. The concern employs over 5,000 Polish employees in Poland. The business activity in Poland dates back to 1937 when the Pratt & Whitney company was founded Rzeszów. Raytheon Technologies enjoys an established presence in Poland through its business units.  Raytheon Missiles and Defense produces the air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. The armament offers the F-35 fighter in-air dominance. Raytheon Intelligence and Space manufactures radars mounted on the fighter - these make it possible for pilots to see in all direction. Another sister company - Pratt & Whitney produces the F-135 engine key components. Engines propel the F-35. The Collins Aerospace delivers Head-Up Displays (HUDs) mounted on the pilot's helmet.

Raytheon Technologies contributes towards Polish economy development. The F-135 engine components are manufactured in Poland and used in F-35 aircraft all over the world. The Patriot system components such as IFF antennas for  Friend or Foe identification and routers are already exported to other countries which use this solution.
