Quo Vadis funeral industry? Lecture by experts at the NECROEXPO held in Kielce

The image of immense divisions in the funeral industry across the country is a great burden. This issue was discussed during the lecture held under the banner of Quo Vadis funeral industry - new challenges. The "Together or apart" session was held during the NECROEXPO in Kielce.

Krzysztof Wolicki, president of the Polish Funeral Association, cited examples of gamesmanship between companies, including denunciations to make each other's business operation more difficult.

- There are about 11.5 thousand companies in this sector on the Polish market. About 300 of these operate under three different associations; there are 96 members and 20 supporters in ours. These numbers prove something - explained President Wolicki.   He emphasized that he would like to see more consent and respect among companies representing the funeral and cemetery industries.

He also promotes the idea of tax payments to purchase a place in the cemetery, which would be paid by the parish or the owner of the cemetery. "It's unregulated at the moment," he said.
