PLASTPOL 2026: Smart Factories, Recycling and Global Technology Premieres
For years, PLASTPOL has remained one of the most important events for the plastics industry in Central and Eastern Europe. This year's show clearly shows the direction of market development: intelligent production management, process automation, energy efficiency and recycling technologies. Across the exhibition halls of Targi Kielce, visitors will see live demonstrations of injection moulding machines, industrial robots, complete production cells, as well as plastic processing and purification lines in operation. Among the products manufactured live during the exhibition will be insulin capsules, medical components, lunchboxes and products made from recycled materials.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of production
One of the strongest trends at this year's Plastpol are systems using artificial intelligence to control production processes. AI-powered technologies analyse thousands of machine operating parameters in real time, predict production errors, automatically optimise processes and significantly reduce energy consumption.
ENGEL will present its inject AI systems used in the production of medical autoinjector components, and KraussMaffei will showcase the new MC7 controller, designed to enable faster configuration and seamless integration of advanced production cells.
Automation will be visible in virtually every exhibition hall. Robots collecting parts from injection moulding machines, camera-based quality control systems and fully automated production cells are rapidly becoming the standard in modern plastics processing plants.
European Premieres and Future Technologies
Among the headline technological premieres at this year’s PLASTPOL is the presentation by BOLE Europe Technology. The company will unveil the European premiere of the MG-300 thixomolding machine – an innovative semi-solid magnesium moulding technology. Combining the advantages of die casting and plastics injection moulding, the solution enables the production of lightweight yet exceptionally durable components for the automotive, electronics and aerospace industries. Live demonstrations during the exhibition will include the production of drone housings and propellers.
Germany’s KIEFEL will introduce its new “double-dip wet molding” technology, designed for the production of biodegradable packaging made from natural fibres without the need for additional plastic coatings. The solution is aimed primarily at the FMCG and takeaway packaging sectors.
Strong attention is also expected around technologies focused on recycled and bio-based materials. WITTMANN will showcase the EcoPower/EcoPrimus electric injection moulding machine, together with advanced process stabilisation technologies dedicated to processing recycled materials.
Recycling and the circular economy
The circular economy is one of the main topics of this year's Plastpol. Exhibitors will present cutting-edge systems for regranulation, plastics purification and the reuse of production waste.
Koltex Plastic Recycling Systems will showcase the ERFOR XR8 regranulation line developed for processing plastic waste and LDPE films. Vecoplan will present the VIZ 1300 shredder along with plastics purification technologies, and Plastline will introduce systems enabling manufacturers to return up to 100 percent of sprue material directly back into the production process.
Circularity and sustainability will also dominate the exhibition’s conference programme. On the opening day, Plastics Europe will present the report “THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR PLASTICS – A European Overview”. The event will also mark the launch of the Circular Plastics Compass Starter series dedicated to circular economy strategies and implementation.
Conferences on Regulations, Materials and the Future of the Industry
PLASTPOL’s extensive conference programme will explore both breakthrough technologies and evolving European regulations shaping the future of the sector.
On the second day, May 20, the Plastech Info technical seminar "There is no world without plastics" will be held, devoted to new materials, energy efficiency and integration of production systems.
The PPWR conference, organised by eplastics.pl, will also be of great importance for the industry. A major point of interest for the industry will also be the PPWR conference organised by eplastics.pl, which focuses on new EU packaging regulations, recycling targets, and the impact of upcoming legislation on manufacturers and processors.
The Congress Centre will additionally host the international conference “Italian Polymers, Compounds & Masterbatch Solutions – Expertise Driving Innovation in Automotive”, presenting advanced polymer materials and Italian know-how for the automotive industry.
PLASTPOL Driving the Industry Forward This year’s PLASTPOL clearly demonstrates that the plastics industry is undergoing an intensive technological transformation. Automation, artificial intelligence, energy efficiency and recycling are rapidly becoming the foundations of competitiveness across the sector.
Once again, Targi Kielce is creating a space where global companies can showcase their latest innovations, while manufacturers and processors gain the opportunity to observe technologies operating in real production conditions. The event remains one of Europe’s leading platforms for knowledge exchange, innovation and business development within the plastics industry.
The International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL, which will take place from 19 to 22 May 2026 in Targi Kielce (Poland).
