Plastpol 2026. Machines in action, million-dollar contracts, and the world of the plastics industry convenes in Kielce
Plastpol served as a launchpad for cutting-edge global technologies and raw materials. At the same time, Targi Kielce reaffirmed its role as the industry's go-to meeting point—driving concrete business discussions, signing deals, and vital new partnerships. Expo Halls - the home for live demonstrations featured injection moulding machines, extrusion systems, industrial robots, fully automated production lines, and advanced recycling technologies in operation. Among the products manufactured on-site were insulin pen caps, medical autoinjector components, lunchboxes, technical industrial parts, and products made from recyclates and natural materials.
Companies from sectors including medical, food, packaging, logistics, home appliances, and automotive invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery, automation, and energy-efficient production solutions.
“Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that enable predictable production management, reduce defect rates, and optimise energy and resource consumption,” said Adam Marciniak from ENGEL. This company secured orders for machines during PLASTPOL. Over the course of the trade fair, dozens of machines and complete plastics processing lines were sold. Major contracts and advanced business negotiations were reported by leading companies such as BOLE, Plastline, Plastigo, Proplastica, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, Bagsik, LS Mtron, Mapro, and Muehsam Rozwiązania dla Przemysłu. While a sense of cautious optimism prevailed among exhibitors amid a slowdown in the European plastics market, companies stressed the vital need for continued investment in efficiency, recycling, and automation.
30 years of PLASTPOL – the industry celebration
The 30th anniversary expo was unique in character. During the jubilee Platinum Plast Gala, companies were honoured that have shaped PLASTPOL's history and contributed to the development of the plastics industry since its very first editions. Muehsam Jan Krzysztof i Wspólnicy, Dopak, Engel, Wittmann Battenfeld, Danje Polymer, Polimarky, A. Marciniak OT, Bagsik, Proplastica, Telko, Finke Colours, KGL, Elbi, P&F Wartacz, Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Polymer Materials, Sumitomo Demag, PlastLine, Asten Group, Mapro Polska, Hasco Hasenclever, Moretto Spa, Grupa Azoty, PlasticsEurope Polska Foundation, Enterio, Polish Union of Plastics Converters and Tworzywa Media were awarded the “Architect of Success” Accolades.
A truly exceptional highlight of the gala was the special distinction awarded to Kamil Perz, Director of the PLASTPOL Trade Fair, who has been actively co-creating and expanding the event for 30 years. The Management Board of Targi Kielce presented him with a stunning statuette of Atlas bearing the globe—a powerful symbol of his tireless energy and profound commitment to building one of the most vital trade fairs for the plastics industry in Europe.
Gold Medals for Innovation
The gala ceremony featured the presentation of PLASTPOL Gold Medals to the most innovative products and technologies showcased at the trade show. The awards went to solutions that address current industry needs – related to automation, recycling, energy efficiency, and artificial intelligence. The merits were presented to: XALOY EUROPE for the NeXtwin™ tungsten carbide conical barrel solution, KOLTEX PRS for the ERFOR® XR8 extruder, BMB SPA for the eKW20Pi/700 electric injection moulding machine, THERMOPLAY from the Spectrix group for solutions for waste-free lateral injection, DOPAK for supporting technological processes in industrial conditions and BOLE EUROPE TECHNOLOGY for the technology of direct injection of long fibre reinforced thermoplastic composites. Gold Medals were also awarded to Polish companies MUEHSAM Rozwiązy Dla Przemysłu for the hood lifter, PAWFORM for the E-DRIVE servo transmission system, and KGL for recyclable Menubox packaging made of XPP foamed polypropylene film intended for takeaway meals.
Awards in the competition were given to Plastoplan Polska, Mapro Polska, Ekochem, Ebs Ink Jet System Poland and MUEHSAM Solutions for Industry.
OMNIPLAST with prizes for knowledge
At the PLASTPOL trade fair, representatives of exhibiting companies were also recognised in the OMNIPLAST competition for their specialist knowledge and industry expertise. Organised for the past 15 years in partnership with the tworzywa.pl portal, this initiative promotes the expertise of plastics processing professionals and has long commanded high praise across the industry.
The stage of the contest took place the previous day, with organisers noting during the gala the exceptionally high level of technical expertise demonstrated by the participants. The winner of this year's edition was Monika Zuber from Sierosławski Group, who received a prestigious statuette and the main prize – a voucher worth PLN 8,000 for services at next year's PLASTPOL trade fair. Second place went to Tomasz Pyrek, representing DRP Group, and he received a voucher worth PLN 6,000. Justyna Przęczek from Polimer Projekt took third place, winning a PLN 4,000 voucher.
Future-focused conferences and panel discussions.
An integral part of Plastpol was industry conferences, seminars and expert competitions. The European launch of the Plastics Europe report “Plastics in a Circular Environment – A European Situation Analysis” attracted the attention of the industry and media. The Foundation also launched the Circular Plastics Compass Starter series. The Plastech Info Technical Seminar, under the banner of "There is no world without plastics", organised by the Tworzywa.pl portal, discussed market challenges. The conference held the eplastics. The PL portal addressed the topic of PPWR - new EU regulations for the packaging market.
A new feature of this year’s edition was the international event “Italian Polymers, Compounds & Masterbatch Solutions – Expertise Driving Innovation in Automotive”, organised jointly with Confindustria Polonia. Italian experts and companies presented cutting-edge solutions for the automotive industry, including advanced polymers, compounds, masterbatches, and technologies tailored to the evolving needs of the European automotive sector.
Targi Kielce: The hub for effective business that delivers results.
“Trade fairs remain the most human platform for driving business success,” emphasises Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of the Board at Targi Kielce. With live machinery showcasing full operational capabilities, and stands staffed by sales professionals, technical experts, and board members, professional visitors gain comprehensive insights into the technology while negotiating deals all in one place.
31. Plastpol in a new hallexpo
We look forward to welcoming the industry to the next edition of the Plastpol exhibition, taking place from May 18 to 21, 2027—which will also feature Targi Kielce’s brand-new exhibition hall. “Thanks to the new hall, we will be able to offer exhibition opportunities at an even higher, truly global standard,” emphasises Kamil Perz, Project Director.
With more than 15,500 square meters of floor space and a 15-meter clearance, this facility is tailor-made for heavy-duty industrial exhibitions and large-scale technological lines. Exhibitors will be able to prepare expo stands up to 8 meters high. Direct access through seven gates for delivery trucks transporting heavy machinery will significantly streamline the entire logistics process. Thanks to the floor load capacity of 100 kN/m², the facility can accommodate even the heaviest machines and large-scale industrial installations.
