Going digital - the past and the future…

11 September 2025
The digital revolution has changed the face of accounting and finance – from the first systems operated on floppy disks to today's cloud solutions based on artificial intelligence. The Going digital - the past and the future… panel is a unique opportunity to look back at the path the industry has taken in recent decades, and to look to the future, where the pace of change shows no signs of slowing down

Experts will show what the daily work of accountants looked like at the beginning of computerisation, and what it is like today, when digital systems are becoming not only a tool but also a partner in decision-making. A conversation about where automation is heading and what competencies will be most valuable in the era of algorithms and accounting robots.

The debate will bring together, inter alia.

  •  Bogdan Zatorski – Business Analysis and Legal Requirements Manager at Symfonia.  A specialist in legal aspects relating to, among others, accounting areas; an accounting theorist and practitioner.
  •  Tomasz Lemański – founder and co-owner of Itmation SA - the Polish leader in ERP system hosting and  an expert in the field of enterprise digitalisation and cloud computing
  •  Jadwiga Wojtas – an economist by education, she also has experience working as a chief accountant, who has been continuously associated with the IT industry for 20 years.
  •  Eryk Skłodowski – Chief Accountant, Vice President of the Management Board of Składowscy, specialises in training in the field of running a business and commercial company law. Responsible for developing forecasts, assisting in obtaining grants, and organising the firm's cooperation with clients.
  •  Gabriela Przybylska – She has been associated with Comarch since 2022, with extensive professional experience in the e-commerce and IT industries, which she gained over almost 10 years.

Panel participants will discuss how IT implementations have changed organisations over the years, what barriers have been overcome, and what challenges lie ahead – from cybersecurity, through AI ethics, to the need for continuous staff education.

This meeting will be a bridge connecting the experiences of computerisation pioneers with the vision of the future, which is already becoming our everyday reality.
